La Beauty Routine d’Autunno

Autumn Beauty Routine

The transition phase between summer and winter is very delicate for our skin.

The first cold weather makes the skin more sensitive, dehydrated and prone to redness. If in autumn normal and sensitive skin has to cope with problems of dryness and flaking, on oily skin changes in temperature can cause excessive sebum production and the formation of blemishes. Our advice is therefore to take care of your face and body, incorporating vitamins and antioxidants into your beauty routine, as well as specific products that respond to the various needs of the skin such as loss of tone, dyschromia, blemishes and redness.

1. Nutrition

As always, nutrition plays a fundamental role in determining the health of the skin. A balanced diet rich in antioxidants, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids is therefore recommended. Antioxidants help counteract the formation of free radicals and are contained in high quantities in seasonal fruit and vegetables, as are vitamins, while Omega 3 is found in greater quantities in fish, especially blue fish, and dried fruit.

Some of the most valuable vitamins for the skin are:

  • vitamin C: with its antioxidant, protective, brightening, revitalising and elasticising action.
  • vitamin A: with anti-oxidant action, capable of protecting cells from ageing, free radicals and stimulating skin renewal.
  • vitamin E: with anti-wrinkle, moisturising, elasticising, protective and soothing action.

2. Cleansing

With the change of season, cleansing is even more important to promote cell regeneration, and with the cold weather a nice warm bath is just what you need, but be careful not to dry out the skin too much. Hot water and prolonged bathing are detrimental to the epidermis, as is the use of aggressive cleansers. Don't overstay your welcome with daily cleansing, choose emollient and natural cleansers and always moisturise your skin after cleansing.

3. Exfoliation

Proper exfoliation of the facial skin is important for removing dead cells and pollutant residues from the epidermis. It also helps prevent blemishes, evens out the complexion and prepares the skin to better absorb subsequent targeted treatments.

4. Deep moisturisation

One of the most important steps in preparing the skin of the face for the first cold weather is to provide it with proper hydration, especially in the most exposed areas such as the cheeks, eye contour and lips. Particular attention should be paid to formulations, opting for cosmetic products based on hyaluronic acid, natural oils and antioxidant agents such as vitamins C and E, which protect the skin when temperatures drop.
